If only we had a heated garage...

So nothing really has been happening with my car lately. It has just been too cold outside. Our garage is not heated so it is freezing out there. It has been so cold that every time Mike would try to go work on the car, his air compressor tools kept getting ice built up in them while he was working. So sadly things haven't been getting done. We are still waiting for my floor to arrive... which we think the bad snow storms in the south have delayed them. It will still be exciting when we get it.
Saturday was a little warmer so Mike worked out with his sand blasting cabinet and got a few parts cleaned. So since it wasn't direct work on the car... I am not going to list this as day 25...or whatever day we were on. I will save that for posts where actual work is being done on the car itself. Either way... every little bit of progress helps.

I never thought I could Love a set of wheels so much!

We were able to score some good parts for my car for a really good deal. The best thing we got were these wheels. I LOVE them!
We originally bought the Cragars for my car, but I decided that i really wanted to get the styled steel wheels that are correct for 1967's. I guess I should note that my car actually came with hubcaps versus these styled steel wheels which would have been an upgrade. I didn't want to put the hubcaps on because I figured given a few years they would have all fallen off and been lost on the side of the road somewhere. So that was where the idea for Cragars came in... but I worried that those wheels would make the car look slightly on the mean side. I don't really want my car to look or sound mean. I want it to look like a run of the mill '67 coupe.
I am in love with the center caps on these wheels. They are such a beautiful blue!
Anyways... we haven't been in the garage lately because it is so stinking cold outside. Our garage is not insulated... and the heaters can't keep up. Hopefully it will warm up at least a little so we can get back out there. Plus the floor should be arriving shortly... so that means some welding will be done soon. Its all soo exciting to see some progress again!!
