It has been a long time since the last update. The car is still being painted so we have had our focus on other things. The "other things" didn't turn out how we planned so now we are shifting all focus back to the car. The goal is still being able to get it done in time for the Tuacahn Car show in April. In fact, I have already registered for it, so this car better be done in time! We are hoping it will be back form the painters in February so we can really start getting the car put back together.
I wanted to show that half of my car is in our computer room. All of the boxes below are new along with some old refurbished car parts waiting for that magical day when they can be put to use on my car. I can't wait to have this room back. I am sure to everybody that has seen this room has questioned if we are beginner hoarders.
Our dinning room table is now being taken over with car parts as well. Wow.... we really do look like hoarders! Mike has been painting and cleaning car parts getting them ready for the great return of the car. At least I know that I can have my dinning room table back come April.
We also have been back to ordering parts again. Mike laid out a bunch of parts on the coffee table for a photo moment before adding them to the pile in the computer room.
I of course had to add picture proof of Mike working on car stuff. He bought new lenses for the instrument cluster, along with a new instrument cluster cover. This is him putting it together. I didn't get a picture of it all put together, but take my word for it... it looks nice!
With all the frustrating stuff going on in our lives, its nice to have something to look forward to. So I am hoping to just really focus on my car. It gives me something to look forward to, and keeps my mind off of things. Unfortunately... the financial aspect of this car really stresses me out. It will be nice when it is all done and put together. I am excited to take it to Tuacahn. I am also pretty surprised about how excited my dad is for the show. It will be neat having the car at it's first car show with my dad by my side. It still blows my mind that I was lucky enough to end up with my dads first car. It only seems appropriate to have him at the car show with me. I can't wait!
